For young and adult dogs who have issues with other dogs, especially on leash.
These special group classes give young and adult dogs who have issues with other dogs (especially on leash) the chance to practice being around each other in a controlled setting. Using counter conditioning, where we pair an existing negative stimuli (other dogs) with positive ones (toys, food), dogs can re-learn to accept the presence of other dogs without reacting badly.
Reactive dogs may never be dog park or daycare regulars, but many can learn to tolerate and accept the presence of other dogs with a calmer detachment so that day-to-day life is less stressful for everyone.
Please call me (303) 875-6998 to schedule a required private lesson so that we can discuss and assess your dog’s skills and needs. Then, we’ll decide if these classes are appropriate for your situation.
Dog Health Note:
Dogs in group classes must be healthy and current on their vaccinations based on your veterinarian’s protocol, including Bordetella.
Dog Health Note
All puppies and dogs in group classes must be healthy and current on their vaccinations based on your veterinarian’s protocol, including Bordetella. For very young dogs, that means they’ve had at least their first round of shots.
