Position Papers
A big part of dog training involves teaching people how best to communicate with their dogs. To aid in that educational process, I developed these position statements on key issues:

There is a lot of junky dog training advice out there in various forms of media, so to help you find quality information that explains and expands upon what I teach, I assembled this list of books, magazines, websites, and blogs. They offer a ton of accurate, humane information about caring for dogs, canine learning theory, dog training, and behavior modification.
In some cases, I’d recommend pretty much any book or article by these authors, but here are some specifics...

Check out these new books, "Perfect Puppy in Seven Days" by Dr. Sophia Yin for new puppy parents and "Behavior Adjustment Training" by Grisha Stewart for fear, frustration and aggression in dogs.
"Gigi has been instrumental in helping us learn how to train our dogs. We met her shortly after adopting our first dog Daisy, who was afraid of many things--but especially unfamiliar people. Gigi coached us, and with positive training, Daisy improved, and today she is a well-adjusted "regular" dog. Our second dog Kite presented us with opposite challenges--he loves all people but is afraid of unfamiliar dogs. I continue to work with him in Gigi's classes to let him know that dogs are OK. Our dogs are an important part of our family and so is Gigi. I know our dogs have been transformed by Gigi's influence, but I think we have benefitted more. Who knew training our dogs could be so much fun!"
